Atlanta, GA—December 2017—This holiday season, the Insight Global Dallas office was honored to work with an extremely deserving group of children in its community via the Cesar Chavez Learning Center. 97% of families with children who attend this school live in severe poverty; often, the breakfast and lunch served to each child by the Learning Center are the only meals he or she will eat that entire day. This means that when these children leave for Christmas break, many are going without breakfast and lunch, and most will not have any gifts to open on Christmas morning. When the Dallas office heard about this, they set out with the goal to give each child attending the Learning Center his or her best Christmas yet and help spread holiday cheer in their community.
The team bought and wrapped toys for 113 kindergarten and first graders, and delivered the Insight Global version of a Christmas miracle for the most deserving 5-6 year old children. Insight Global also hosted a Christmas party for the children that included a visit with Santa, gingerbread cookie decorating, and hot cocoa. “Seeing the surprise and gratitude on the kids’ faces as they opened their gifts was truly the best feeling,” said Account Manager Gianna Philichi. “Multiple teachers who attended the event told us that nobody had ever done anything like this for the kids, which was very surprising to hear. Our office has so much to be thankful for, and this year we thank the children at Cesar Chavez Learning Center for reminding us what the Christmas season is about, and how good it feels to give.”
