Pittsburgh Walks to End Alzheimer’s

Atlanta, GA—November 2017—Over the weekend, the Insight Global Pittsburgh office participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. The 20 Insight Global employees helped raise over $1,900 by walking two miles around the Pittsburgh North Shore while holding “Promise Flowers.” The flowers were all a different color indicating whether each participant has Alzheimer’s, lost someone to Alzheimer’s, is supporting someone living with Alzheimer’s, or simply supporting the cause. The proceeds will help provide care, support and research toward the Alzheimer’s epidemic. “At one point, I saw an older couple with a blue flower, meaning one of them has Alzheimer’s, embracing each other while others planted their flowers around them,” said Paige Smith, Professional Recruiter. “It was both beautiful and heartbreaking, but that couple and those who came before them are the reason we were there: to raise money for such a great cause that truly benefits those around us every single day.”
