Silicon Valley Walks for Diabetes

Atlanta, GA—October 2017—This past Sunday, members of Insight Global’s Silicon Valley office participated in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in Santa Clara, Calif. In total, the Insight Global team raised $1,525 over the course of the day, all of which will go toward Type 1 diabetes research. At the event, individuals who have Type 1 diabetes wore blue shirts, while their friends and family wore white. This way, it was easy to identify who would benefit from the funds raised, as well as see how many people came out to support them. “It was fantastic to see so many people come together on a Sunday morning to walk for one cause,” said Marissa Morsette, Professional Recruiter. “When you looked around you saw immense support from so many different sources – volunteers, people with Type 1 diabetes, their families, friends, coworkers, even doctors and leaders in the diabetes care industry. As a Type 1 diabetic myself, I was taken back by the overwhelming support for what can sometimes seem like an invisible disease. I love that I work for a company that chooses to give back and get involved the community!”
