Atlanta Corporate Spends Saturday Helping To Build A Home

Atlanta, GA–September 2017–This past weekend, Atlanta Corporate employees volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in Vine City, Ga. The eight employees assisted in building a house for a woman named Ms. Jonis, who was building her first home. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps homeowners build simple, decent and affordable housing for very low-income families. From 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., they prepped and painted all of the interior walls alongside Ms. Jonis.  “Giving back to the community we live and work in is not only encouraged, but expected, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday,” said Director of Human Resources Melanie Lewis. “Helping Ms. Jonis build her first home was hard work, but definitely worth it.  She was so appreciative of the attention to detail we paid to prepping and painting all of her interior walls, knowing that she will be living in her new home for at least the next 30 years.”
